A summit of the Normandy Four countries – Ukraine, France, Germany, and Russia – may take place before the end of September, French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins said.
“I can confirm that very close contacts at the level of our President [Emmanuel] Macron with German Chancellor [Angela] Merkel and at the same time with President [Volodymyr] Zelensky and President [Vladimir] Putin are currently taking place in the hope of holding the aforementioned meeting as early as before the end of this month,” Poncins told journalists after laying flowers in front of the wall of remembrance of those who died for Ukraine in 2014-2017 near St. Michael’s Cathedral in Kyiv on Sept. 9.
