You're reading: Number of injured in Odesa college fire reaches 26 people

As of 7:40 p.m., a number of 26 persons were injured when a fire broke at the education premises of Odesa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business.

“According to updates, one person dead and 26 people injured, 11 teenagers and 7 firefighters,” a press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

During the briefing, the service reported that the whereabouts of 15 persons have not identified yet, and this figure is approximate.

A criminal case was opened under Part 2 of Article 270 (violation of the fire safety requirements set by the legislation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
