The indicator of negative dynamics of the incidence of COVID-19 in Kyiv and Odesa regions on June 23 exceeded 10% and amounted to 11.72% and 85.81%, respectively. As a result, the number of regions with a wide spread of coronavirus in Ukraine reached ten, the Health Ministry said.
As before, two of them – Zakarpattia and Chernivtsi – in addition to excessive negative dynamics and the percentage of detection (the percentage of positive tests are higher than 11%), beds occupancy exceeds 50% (57.83% and 54.23%, respectively).
The list also includes Lviv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Rivne regions.
In addition, four more regions (Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk and Mykolaiv) violate a secondary indicator – test coverage, which has been doubled since June 22 to 24 tests per 100,000.
As reported, the Health Ministry has published indicators for easing anti-epidemic measures according to the new methodology approved by the government, according to which Kyiv and the Vinnytsia regions left the list of “violators” due to the large number of tests and the downward dynamics of incidence.
The Cabinet of Ministers decided that in the case of three consecutive days of the region staying on the list with wide distribution of COVID-19, the regional commission on environmental safety, manmade disaster and emergency response takes a decision to strengthen quarantine in the region or its individual administrative-territorial units on the proposal of the chief state sanitary doctor of the region.
The decision to strengthen anti-epidemic measures can be canceled no earlier than seven days from the date of its adoption, taking into account the results of the assessment of the current epidemic situation in the region.
Strengthening quarantine may consist in limiting the holding of mass (cultural, entertainment, sports, social, religious, advertising, and other) events; the activities of institutions providing accommodation services; the implementation of regular and irregular passenger traffic in urban, suburban, intercity intraregional and interregional traffic; transportation of passengers by subway; visits to pre-school educational institutions; the work of physical education and sports institutions, gyms, fitness centers, cultural institutions; the activities of food institutions.
