You're reading: Odesa port-side plant increases debt to Naftogaz by 2.6 times over last week

PJSC Odesa port-side chemical plant last week increased its debt to Naftogaz Ukrainy by 2.6 times (by Hr 381.267 million), to Hr 529.222 million, the press service of the holding has said.

Thus, the level of the enterprise’s payments for the consumed gas in 2016 fell to 23 percent.

As reported, under privatization terms, the buyer of Odesa port-side plant must pay the company’s entire debt to Naftogaz.

A tender for the privatization of Odesa port-side plant with a starting price of Hr 5.16 billion is scheduled for Dec. 14, 2016.

PJSC Ukrnaftoburinnia of Ihor Kolomoisky and Vitaliy Khomutynnyk, as well as Glenshee Holdings Ltd of Oleksandr Yaroslavsky expressed their intention to buy the plant.

The state-owned plant produces chemical products. It is engaged in transshipment of ammonia on board ships.

The company in 2015 posted a net profit of Hr 211 million against a net loss of Hr 270 million a year earlier, its net income increased by 2.1 times, to Hr 11.195 billion.
