The head of the Stary Sambir district state administration in Lviv region has been detained for receiving an illegal profit in the amount of $1,500, Lviv Regional State Administration’s press service has reported.
“The fact of extortion and receipt by the head of the Stary Sambir district state administration of an illegal profit in the amount of $1,500 has been documented,” the report says.
According to the regional state administration, the official was detained on June 18 by police officers under the procedural control of the military prosecutor’s office of the Lviv garrison.
The official was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are continuing.
