Dnipro Airport has been completely destroyed, according to a local official. “There has been another attack on Dnipro Airport. There is nothing left of it. The airport itself and the infrastructure around it has been destroyed. Rockets keep flying and flying,” the head of the city’s military administration, Valentyn Reznichenko, said on Telegram.

He added that the authorities were seeking to clarify information about victims. Local media outlets report that at leave five people have been injured. Reznichenko said attacks on the city, which lies on the banks of the River Dnipro, intensified on Sunday.

Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration official official Mykola Lukashuk confirmed today’s rocket attacks on Dnipropetrovsk Region. He said five emergency workers were injured. He added that one civilian in Novopavlivka had died after handling a cassette bomb, as reported by a local media outlet.

The industrial city of one million people has been targeted by Russian forces since Russia’s invasion but had till now been spared major destruction.
