There have been no violations during the incarceration of Ukrainian citizen Pavlo Hryb, who is charged with abetting to terrorism, in the pre-trial detention facility No. 4 in Rostov-on-Don, Anatoly Kharkovsky, the human rights commissioner for the Rostov region, said.

“Hryb was transferred from Krasnodar and examined by medics on his arrival. He receives full medical care and has not complained about the administration of the pre-trial detention facility No. 4, his incarceration conditions, and medical care,” Kharkovsky told Interfax on Friday.

On Thursday, the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada’s Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova sent letters to the office of Russian High Commissioner for Human Rights Tatyana Moskalkova due to possible violations of convicted Ukrainian citizens Pavlo Hryb’s and Stanislav Klykh’s rights.

According to her information, Pavlo Hryb was brutally beaten up by other convicts while being convoyed to a penitentiary facility of the city of Rostov-on-Don. In addition, food and other supplies, which had been handed over by representatives of the Ukrainian Consulate General the day before, were taken from him.
