Over the past day, Russia-backed separatists have opened fire 16 times on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the press center of the Ukrainian military has reported.
“As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian soldier received a battle trauma,” the military staff said on Facebook on August 10 morning.
On August 9 noon, separatist from the same direction, the village of Kalynove, attacked the Ukrainian strongholds in the Luhansk sector six times using different types of weapons.
In the Mariupol sector, Ukrainian positions near Starohnativka and Talakivka were shelled from the mortars of 82-mm caliber, 120-mm mortar was used in the area of Vodiane, Pavlopil and Hnutove.
In addition, at about 9 p.m., the separatists attacked fortified positions of the Ukrainian army using a Grad (Partisan) portable rocket launcher. At least 27 shells landed in the area of Shyrokyne and another 15 near Vodiane.
In the Donetsk sector, on August 9 evening, the illegal armed formations for almost two hours were firing on Ukrainian strongholds in the southern outskirts of Avdiyivka and Butivka coal mine, using various types of weapons.
Ukrainian military said that the constant fire provocations of the separatists would be strongly repulsed every time.
