Ukraine’s Open Court project said in a statement on July 10 that it had launched 360-degree video recording of court hearings.
“Thanks to revolutionary technology, we will record the whole space around the video camera, and viewers will feel as if they are present in the courtroom,” the project said.
The 360-degree video technology allows video recordings to be made in which views from all directions are recorded simultaneously. During playback, the viewer has control of the viewing direction.

The Open Court project focuses on recording court hearings on video.
The project was launched in 2015 by Open Ukraine, a non-governmental organization. Its partners include the Supreme Court, the High Specialized Court for Civil and Criminal Cases, over 50 lower courts, Ukrainian lawyer associations, the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, as well as Support to Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine, a European Union project.
