The Opposition Bloc parliamentary faction backs Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman’s resignation, the faction’s leader Vadym Novinsky has said.

“We will vote for Groysman’s resignation,” Novinsky told journalists in Kyiv on Tuesday before a meeting between parliament faction heads and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

Groysman on May 20, said he would tender his resignation on May 22, immediately after the nearest government meeting. During his inaugural address on May 20, Zelenskiy called on Ukraine’s Cabinet to resign.

Under Article 115 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the resignation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine results in the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
