The resolution of the Political Affairs and Security Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on the militarization by the Russian Federation of the temporarily occupied Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the Black and Azov Seas, despite the resistance of the representatives of the Russian Federation, has been approved, head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, MP Refat Chubarov has said.

“The resolution on the militarization of the Russian Federation temporarily occupied by the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine, the Black and Azov Seas, despite the fierce resistance and the noise of the Russians, has been approved,” wrote Chubarov on his Facebook page on Saturday evening.

The resolution was supported by 54 members of the committee, six were against, and six abstained.

It is required in the text of the resolution “to ensure the de-occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, to withdraw the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation from the Ukrainian territory” and there are calls for the full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
