Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Volodymyr Ariev of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction has said that 45 PACE members signed a declaration demanding that the Russian Federation comply with the order of the International Court of Justice on the resumption of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and the cessation of the persecution of Ukrainian language in Crimea.

“45 PACE members from various countries and political groups signed a declaration demanding the occupier – the Russian Federation – to comply with the order of the International Court of Justice on the resumption of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatars and the cessation of the persecution of the Ukrainian language in Crimea,” Ariev wrote on his Facebook page on April 26.

He also said that the signatories clearly noted that the resumption of Russian cooperation with PACE is possible only after the de-occupation of Crimea and the full implementation of the Minsk agreements by Russia.
