Pechersky District Court in Kyiv will continue a meeting to choose a measure of restraint to fifth president of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko, at 11 a.m. on July 8.

Judge Serhiy Vovk announced such a decision when studying the materials of appeal after the parties made their speeches.

According to Vovk, the handwritten text on suspicion indicates that the suspect refused to receive notification of the suspicion, as confirmed by witnesses.

“A decision is being made to call these individuals to directly examine into these circumstances,” he said adding that to this end the judge announced a break.

As reported, the persecution party announced the petition, in which they ask about personal obligations for Poroshenko for a period of eight days until July 10, when the investigation expires.

The defense team, having examined the documents, drew attention to the absence of a date in the document. “This is not a petition, but a piece of paper, it is not clear where and how it was made,” said lawyer Ihor Golovan.

The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv on July 1 afternoon continued to consider the prosecutor’s petition for Poroshenko for choosing a preventive measure in the form of a personal obligation in criminal proceedings to appoint deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, in which Poroshenko is a suspect.
