You're reading: People from temporarily occupied territories entering Ukraine to be hospitalized

The Government of Ukraine has obliged all those entering from temporarily occupied territories to undergo mandatory hospitalization in observation facilities (isolators), except members of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and diplomats.

So, according to decree No. 255 of April 2, the government established that persons entering from temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea through checkpoints are subject to mandatory hospitalization in the observation facilities (isolators), which are determined by the regional, Kyiv city state administrations.

Exceptions are employees of the Mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross, employees of diplomatic missions accredited in Ukraine, including those who monitor the situation and deliver humanitarian aid to the population living in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Crimea if there is no reason to believe that they were in contact with a COVID-19 patient.
