Kherson Regional Council Chairman Vladyslav Manger has said results of a lie detector test show he was not involved in the murder of activist Kateryna Gandziuk. However, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has said the results of Manger’s test are inadmissible and will not be taken into account.
Manger said on Facebook on May 27 that he had passed the four-hour lie detector test, which showed he was not involved in the attack on Handziuk.
“It’s impossible to lie to the detector, believe me,” Manger said on Facebook, adding that he had answered no to questions about whether he had taken any deliberate part in preparing the organization of the attack on Gandziuk.
In turn, the PGO Spokesman Andriy Lysenko said on Facebook that the results of Manger’s lie detector test could not be taken into account by the investigators, since he took the test on his own initiative outside criminal proceedings.
