The state enterprise Pivdenny Seaport plans to build a new export transshipment complex worth Hr 1.4 billion by 2025, director of the port Oleksandr Oliynyk said during the NewPort international exhibition in Kyiv.
According to him, this project includes the reconstruction of a transshipment complex for export cargo (the estimated cost is Hr 1 billion, including VAT) and the construction of a new car dumper complex (Hr 400 million). The implementation period is 2023-2025.
He noted that the implementation of this project will increase the share of export cargo in the total cargo turnover from 7.8 million tonnes per year to 20 million tonnes.
“We are now at the stage of formalizing a feasibility study,” he said.
