MOSCOW – Deploying UN peacekeepers to the Ukrainian-Russian border in Donbas is not on agenda, Russian presidential press officer Dmitry Peskov said.

“This is about ensuring the security of the OSCE mission [in Donbas] there, where they are doing it. There’s no talk of deploying a UN peacekeeping mission to the border. The thing is that the deployment of any missions to the border would contradict the Minsk Agreements,” Peskov told reporters on Sept. 22.

“In any case, any modalities, work of any missions are subject to approval by the conflict parties, namely, by Kyiv and the self-proclaimed Donbas republics,” he said.
