You're reading: Police reports nearly 500 traffic accidents in Kyiv today

As of 6 p.m. on Nov. 14, 498 calls reporting traffic accidents in Kyiv have been received by the 102 hotline, the Patrol Police of Ukraine has said, recalling that a traffic accident can be registered without calling the police by filling out a European Accident Statement.

“We are calling on all the road users to be as attentive and cautious as possible. Please, follow the traffic rules strictly. Considering the elements (it is raining and snowing) and the situation on the roads, we herewith advise you to avoid long-distance trips,” the patrol police said in a post on Facebook on Nov. 14.

Also, the patrol police recalled that a traffic accident can be registered without calling the police by filling out a European Accident Statement.

“A traffic accident can be registered by filling out a European Accident Statement either in a print form or electronically, with the help of a smartphone, right on the spot, without calling the patrol police,” the police said.
