Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak has wished peace for Ukrainians in the upcoming year.
“I sincerely wish peace to be established in 2019, after our victory,” Poltorak was quoted as saying by the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on its page on Facebook on Dec. 31.
The minister said he sends his warmest greetings to Ukrainian servicemen on the frontline who have been suppressing the aggressor in snow-covered trenches.
Poltorak said to the Ukrainian seamen held in captivity in Russia: “We are with you, guys, we have been fighting for you and praying for your soonest return home.”
The minister wished Ukrainians domestic harmony, strong health, God’s grace, and the Victory.
