Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has announced an increase in wages for servicemen in the ATO zone.

“It was decided to increase wages for servicemen who perform military duties in the anti-terrorist operation zone. I instructed to raise wages to Hr 10,000 per month on the first line of defense and Hr 4,500 on the second line,” he said during a working trip to Vinnytsia region on occasion of the Day of the Air Forces of Ukraine.

The freelance adviser to the President of Ukraine, assistant to the Defense Minister Yuriy Biriukov, in turn, wrote on his Facebook page “from August 1, 2017 wages to many categories and specialists in the Armed Forces are raised. In particular, wages in the Air Forces of Ukraine were increased to the categories from soldiers to battalion commanders. Wages for work in the ATO zone from August 1, 2017 are increased to Hr 10,000 on the first defense line and to Hr 4,500 on the second line.”
