Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said it was wrong for his 15-year old son to put on t-shirt emblazoned with the word “Russia.”
During a press conference in Kyiv on May 14, the president said, “The t-shirt referred to Halloween night and there was some kind of show (vertep). Someone wrote something on the t-shirt and then some one put it on … I think even in a puppet theatre such behavior is inexcusable.”
Poroshenko said he discussed the incident with his son.
“Let me assure you, I found the correct words to explain why what he did was wrong. It was not his t-shirt and was not part of his daily attire. Even on Halloween, I think this is wrong,” Poroshenko said.
