Some 50 oxygen concentrators purchased at the expense of the Poroshenko Foundation and volunteer donations have been handed over to Ukrainian hospitals, the press service of the European Solidarity party said.

The party’s leader, fifth president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this is another batch of oxygen equipment, and 20 more concentrators are expected by the end of 2021.

“As I promised, as soon as the elections were over, our powerful team continued to search for and deliver to Ukraine the most demanded medical equipment now. These are oxygen concentrators, which are critically lacking in Ukrainian hospitals. Despite the fact that the authorities had ten months to provide oxygen, air, and the right to breathe for those who are sick with this terrible disease,” Poroshenko said.

He thanked everyone who joined the charity work of the Poroshenko Foundation.

He also said that the European Solidarity continues to seek the return of funds from the roads of the “Big Construction” for medicine and the payment of a 300% premium to doctors.

“Since what is happening now, you cannot call it anything other than mockery, doctors are charged by the second for work with COVID-19 patients, and in reality this premium is 25% instead of 300% of the doctor’s already low salary,” Poroshenko said.

In addition, he said the government should provide for free vaccination of Ukrainians against COVID-19. By the end of 2020, another 20 United States-made oxygen concentrators will be transferred to Ukrainian hospitals. Their total number will exceed 100.
