Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic in Davos have discussed the activities of the bilateral working group to study Croatia’s experience in the peaceful reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories and also examined the prospects for Ukraine’s participation in energy projects being implemented in Croatia.

“The president of Ukraine and the prime minister of Croatia expressed satisfaction with the start of the practical work of the bilateral working group to study Croatia’s unique experience of the peaceful reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories,” the press service of the Ukrainian head of state said following the meeting on January 25.

Poroshenko thanked Plenkovic for Croatia’s co-authorship of the UN General Assembly resolution on the human rights situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, adopted in December 2017. He also thanked for Croatia’s consistent support of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, for active political, humanitarian and expert assistance.

In addition, the parties discussed prospects for Ukraine’s participation in energy projects that are being implemented in Croatia and aimed at strengthening the energy security of Europe.
