Government officials have the desire and political will to ensure privatization of state property effectively, openly, competitively and according to new legislative acts, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.
Poroshenko’s press service said the National Reforms Council on September 12 reviewed a draft bill aimed at ensuring transparency and effectiveness of the privatization of state enterprises.
“We must finally improve privatization legislation. This must be done not only by introducing electronic auctions, but by providing a transparent process,” the president said.
According to Poroshenko, it is necessary to discuss and, as quickly as possible, propose the optimal version of privatization laws to parliament.
