President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on sports rehabilitation of Donbas war soldiers.

“I unhesitatingly supported the initiative by the presidential commissioner on rehabilitation of Donbas war participants, Vadym Svyrydenko, about the need to create qualitative conditions for the sports rehabilitation of Donbas war soldiers,” Poroshenko said during the awarding ceremony of Invictus Games in Kyiv on May 12.

The president signed a decree on supporting the development of sports rehabilitation of combatants who took part in the antiterrorist operation and ensure national security and defense in order to repulse and restrain the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

“Right now I am signing this decree, and we are launching a new system of state policy for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers,” Poroshenko said.
