You're reading: President’s Office connects Shefir’s car shooting with Zelensky’s fight with oligarchs

The shooting of the car of the first assistant to the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Shefir, is associated with an aggressive campaign against the active policy of President Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce the influence of oligarchs, Adviser to the President’s Office head Mykhailo Podoliak has said.

“We, of course, associate this attack with an aggressive and even militaristic campaign against the active policy of the head of state. A policy aimed at significantly reducing the traditional influence of shadow oligarchs on social processes, as well as destroying political and financial groups that openly work for our external opponents,” Podoliak told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
