You're reading: Price of secondary housing in Kyiv 0.7 percent down in March

The average cost of housing in the secondary real estate market of Kyiv in U.S. dollars in March 2017 decreased by 0.7 percent compared to February, to $1,268 per square meter, according to the Stolychna Nerukhomist information and analytical portal (Kyiv).

According to the report, the increase in the average dollar prices for apartments in the secondary market of Kyiv in March was observed only in Desniansky district (by 0.1 percent). In other districts, the decline in average prices was from 0.2% in Obolonsky district to 1.5 percent in Sviatoshynsky district.

In March 2017 compared to February the cost of one square meter of secondary housing in the capital in the economy segment decreased by 0.7 percent, to $721, in the premium segment by 0.5 percent, to $2,223.

According to Stolychna Nerukhomist, the offer of secondary housing in Kyiv in March 2017 increased by 4.9 percent compared to the previous month, to 22,339 apartments, while the increase in the offer from March 2016 was 16.7 percent.

“The largest number of apartments was offered in Darnytsky district – 16 percent. The supply in Holosiyevsky district was 13 percent, Pechersky and Shevchenkivsky 12 percent, in Dniprovsky and Solomiansky 10 percent, in Sviatoshynsky 8 percent. The lowest share of apartments put up for sale was in Obolonsky district and stood at 7 percent,  and in Desniansky and Podilsky districts at 6 percent,” the report says.
