The Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence recommends to the Verkhovna Rada to adopt at the second reading the bill on the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine.

“The committee recommended the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine for the second reading,” deputy head of the committee Mariana Bezuhla wrote on Facebook on July 8.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent, the committee considered amendments to the second reading of Bill No. 3196-d on amendments to the Law On the Security Service of Ukraine regarding improvements in the organizational and legal framework of the SBU at its meetings on July 7 and Thursday.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill at the first reading on Jan. 28.
