Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova announced a judicial review of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), who closed the Rotterdam+ case for the second time.

“Despite a lot of legal contradictions in the actions of the NABU detectives and the SAPO prosecutors, I decided to conduct a thorough, absolutely transparent official check of the professional activities of the SAPO prosecutor Vitaliy Ponomarenko in terms of his procedural guidance in criminal proceedings No. 52017000000000209,” she wrote on her Facebook page.

Venediktova said the Rotterdam+ case was registered back in March 2017.

“I urge all participants in the process, without exception, to explain to the audience the reason why, in fact, you have zero or one, or two, or how many days at your disposal? Those very days necessary for an effective investigation. A few months before the expiration of this period, no one and it did not occur to me to think about the consequences?” She said.
