Kyiv’s Shevchenkivsky District Court has started consideration on the merits of the criminal proceedings against Yaroslav Tarasenko and Alexander Los in the murder of Denis Voronenkov, a former deputy of Russia’s State Duma. Voronenkov was assassinated in downtown Kyiv in March 2017.

Since the automated system has already identified three main and two reserve jurors, due to the lack of which the court had previously been transferred, they were sworn in, after which the prosecutor began to announce the indictment.

The indictment consists of more than 40 pages. At the meeting on October 18, almost half of the indictment was announced. The next hearing is scheduled for November 13, the press service of Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) said.
