You're reading: Prosecutors report 76 suspects of massacres during EuroMaidan Revolution

The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) said that over the past year alone, some 43 people have been notified of suspicion in the “Maidan cases.”

“In general, the PGO prosecutors for the commission of massacres during January and February 2014 notified of suspicion of 76 people, of whom 12 are high-ranking officials, some 38 are law enforcement officers and 26 are civilians,” deputy head of the department of procedural management for “Maidan cases” of the PGO Denys Ivanov said at a briefing with the participation of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes’ relatives.

According to him, some 50 suspects have been put on the wanted list, some 14 indictments against 20 people have been sent to the courts.

Head of the “Maidan cases” department Oleksiy Donsky, in turn, said he was not a supporter of figures, but voiced them so that there were no “versions of a coup d’etat and that nothing was investigated in the courts.”

“From January last year to the present time, 43 people have been notified of suspicion in the Maidan cases,” he said.
