HAMBURG – Russian President Vladimir Putin said he has discussed with U.S. President Donald Trump the situation in Ukraine, in Syria, the fight against terrorism and cyber crime, and also cyber security.

“I had a very long conversation with the president of the United States. Many issues had accumulated, including Ukraine, Syria, and other issues, some bilateral issues. We again went back to counterterrorism and cyber security issues. And I, and on his behalf – we apologize,” Putin said during a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on July 7.

The first meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States took place on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg on July 20. It began around 5:10 p.m. and lasted two hours and 15 minutes.
