The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the candidacy of MP from the Servant of the People faction Iryna Vereschuk for the post of deputy prime minister, minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Some 260 MPs voted for the relevant decision at the plenary session on Nov. 4.

Iryna Vereshchuk is a former mayor of Rava-Ruska (2010 to 2015). MP of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the ninth convocation (from Aug. 29, 2019) from the Servant of the People party (No. 29 in the list). Government representative in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from Sept. 4, 2019 to Nov. 15, 2019. Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security and Defense, Head of the Subcommittee on State Security and Defense. On Nov. 2, 2021, she was nominated by the Servant of the People faction for the post of deputy prime minister, minister for reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories.
