You're reading: Rada devotes another day to amendments on language bill

Ukrainian parliamentarians have considered at least 500 amendments over three days of work on draft law (No. 5670-d) on the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language (the so-called language bill).

At the morning and evening plenary sessions of the Verkhovna Rada on March 14, deputies ended up the 487th amendment, having considered 216 amendments, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

In total, the parliamentarians submitted more than 2,000 amendments to the bill.
