The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has introduced electronic registration of place of residence for Ukrainians.
Relevant bill No.5463 on the implementation of public electronic services for registration and declaration of residence in Ukraine at second reading and in total supported 238 MPs at a plenary session on Nov. 5.
According to the bill, it is possible to declare a place of residence online using the Diia portal.
“Now, right in the application or on the Diia portal, you can indicate the address where you actually live and receive confirmation from the owner of the property. No long walks in the Centre of administrative services delivery, only confirmation online. We are completely changing the philosophy of registration. Instead of three institutions, 30 days of waiting and pieces of paper, one statement that will be processed on the first day,” Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the service is currently operating in seven cities of the country in an experimental format and will soon be available to everyone.
