You're reading: Rada may hold extraordinary meeting on European integration

The Verkhovna Rada may hold an extraordinary meeting on Oct. 12 or Oct. 14 to consider bills that are important for Ukraine’s European integration, said Oleksandr Korniyenko, first deputy head of the Servant of the People faction.

“An extraordinary meeting on European integration may be held on Tuesday or Thursday. It will concern just the Ukraine-EU summit, which will be held in parallel. I think that even if our delegation arrives at the summit not with signed laws, but for example, with those adopted at the first reading, this is always perceived as a good signal for partners that we are following our course towards European integration,” Korniyenko told reporters on the sidelines parliament on Oct. 7.

The next Ukraine-EU summit will be held on Oct. 12.
