You're reading: Rada unblocks signing of law on reforming defense enterprises

The Verkhovna Rada has considered and rejected draft resolutions on the cancellation of its decision of July 13, on the adoption of bill No. 3822 on the specifics of reforming state-owned enterprises of the military-industrial complex.

The parliament at a meeting on July 20 rejected three relevant draft resolutions registered by members of the Batkivschyna faction, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

As reported, the document provides for the transformation of the state concern Ukroboronprom into a joint-stock company, and the state enterprises that are part of it – into business companies.

The adoption of bill No. 3822, in particular, will allow transforming Ukroboronprom into two large holdings.
