You're reading: Rada’s Energy Committee supports appointment of Haluschenko as Energy Minister

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services has decided to support the appointment of Deputy President of National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom Herman Haluschenko as Energy Minister.

The relevant decision was made at the April 28 meeting of the committee by a majority vote.

At the same time, Head of the committee Andriy Gerus did not disclose his position.

“My vote does not solve anything, we have lived up to this situation. Therefore, I congratulate you. You have received the support of the committee, whose decision is to recommend approval of your candidacy in the session hall tomorrow,” he said, referring to Haluschenko.

As reported, the Servant of the People faction on April 22 discussed the candidacy of Deputy President of Energoatom Haluschenko for the post of Energy Minister.

Earlier, Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia said the Verkhovna Rada on April 29 could vote for the appointment of Haluschenko to the post of Energy Minister.
