Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov believes that those who attacked the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on August 24 should bear as tough as possible responsibility for their actions under the current legislation.

“Firstly, I consider any manifestation of such behavior shameful. Therefore, I consider these actions unacceptable, which have occurred, law enforcement officers are engaged in them. There should not be a division into power or opposition, there are approaches that operate within the law, and the law is one for everyone. For those who want to break the law, it is necessary to be held accountable so that it is as tough as possible,” Razumkov said at a briefing on August 31.

He also said that, in addition to the hooligan component, such actions give the sent informational reasons that can be used against the state of Ukraine, “which is definitely not worth doing in today’s conditions.”
