You're reading: Red Cross sends over 37 tonnes of aid to Russia-controlled Donbas

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Sept. 22 sent 37.2 tonnes of humanitarian aid to the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine reported.

“Today, on Sept. 22, 2021, three trucks delivered a humanitarian cargo with a total weight of 37.2 tonnes to the parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine occupied by the Russian Federation,” the ministry said on its website.

The cargo has been transferred from all member states of the Geneva Conventions that contribute to the global budget of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Trucks transported the humanitarian aid through the Novotroyitske checkpoint.
