Russia-backed separatists have twice violated the ceasefire in Donbas on Nov. 3, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded, the press center of the Joint Force Operation (JFO) said.
“Since the beginning of the current day, Nov. 3, two violations of the ceasefire by Russian-occupation forces have been recorded. Thus, in the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) task force, not far from the settlement of Novoluhanske, the enemy fired three shots from an automatic heavy-duty grenade launcher. Unfortunately, as a result of the shelling, one serviceman of the Joint Forces was wounded by shrapnel,” the JFO headquarters said on its Facebook page.
It is noted that the serviceman was taken to a medical institution, he was promptly provided with medical assistance. The state of health of the defender is assessed as moderate.
In addition, the enemy opened fire from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher near the village of Vodiane.
“Ukrainian servicemen continue to conscientiously carry out tasks as intended and are ready to respond adequately in the event of a threat to their life or health,” the JFO headquarters said.
