On the neutral strip of the Ukrainian-Russian state border near the Hoptivka checkpoint (Kharkiv region) on March 2, the Ukrainian border guards Bohdan Martsonia and Ihor Dziubak have been returned to Ukraine by the Ukrainian border guards abducted by the Russian special services near the state border in Sumy region in October 2017.
At the same time, Ukraine handed over to the Russian side the servicemen of the Frontier Service of the Russian Federal Security Service Vladimir Kuznetsov and Askar Kuluba, detained in Kherson region in the summer of 2017.
The process of handing over the border guards could be watched live through CCTV cameras installed at the checkpoint Hoptivka.
