Former Georgian President and leader of the Movement of New Forces party Mikheil Saakashvili has said that a presidential candidate “from the people” will soon be presented in Ukraine.

“We will have our presidential candidate, from the people,” he said during a video link-up from abroad at a rally in Kyiv on Feb.18.

The politician noted that candidates for parliament and government of Ukraine would be presented.

“We will also present a list of bandits who are robbing Ukraine, who should be imprisoned in Ukraine and in Europe for what they did to the Ukrainian people… We will never negotiate with anyone,” he said.

Saakashvili recalled that he was going to return to Ukraine.

“See you in Kyiv, friends,” he said, concluding his speech.

The next parliamentary and presidential elections in Ukraine are scheduled for 2019.
