The Samopomich faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has expelled its member Natalia Veselova from the faction, the political force said on its website on Oct.6.

“The reason for her exclusion is her committing the acts that disgrace the reputation of the Samopomich faction and political party, in particular proposal of bills that deny the occupation, public denial of the occupation despite the faction’s position. The last straw was today’s vote to extend the law on Donbas special status, which is opposed to by all members of the Samopomich faction,” the report says.

“These actions show that Natalia Veselova does not share the position of the faction, its values and principles,” the party stressed.

At the same time, the message says that earlier Veselova was offered to leave the faction on her own accord, but she did not accept.
