Investigators of the territorial administration of the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) in Kyiv have completed a pretrial investigation into the case of Tetiana Chornovil’s involvement in the arson of the Party of Regions’ office in February 2014, which resulted in the death of a person.

“According to the results of the preliminary investigation, the MP of Ukraine of the eighth convocation is accused of deliberately unlawful infliction of death on another person, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons in a manner dangerous to the lives of many persons (clauses 5, 12 of Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the SBI press service said.

It is noted that the defense is familiar with all the materials of the criminal proceedings. The indictment was brought to court.

As reported, Chornovil was summoned to the SBI to serve the indictment on December 15. She is accused of leading the actions of a group of people on February 18, 2014 and directly taking part in the arson of the building on Lypska Street in Kyiv, where the office of the Party of Regions was located.

As a result of the fire, an employee born in 1948 died, who was in the premises of the party’s office.
