Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has found out the chairman of the Sumy Economic Court demanded a bribe of over $26,000 of a businessman.

SBU officers together with employees of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine established that the judge demanded from a local businessman more than $26,000 for settling a land suit, the SBU press center reported on Nov.1.

Criminal proceedings were launched under Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receipt of improper benefit by an official).
