Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Ivano-Frankivsk region have said the deputy commander of one of the military units engaged contractors in work on equipping the security perimeter of the sensitive facility without access to a state secret.

“According to investigators, representatives of four commercial structures were arranging a fire warning system and installing video cameras in the military arsenal. The contractors did not have special permission to carry out the corresponding work,” the press service of the SBU in Ivano-Frankivsk region reported on Facebook.

Also, SBU investigators found that the project engineers developed and stored documentation on equipping the security perimeter and structures of the military unit in the premises without secrecy.

In the framework of the criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 422 (disclosure of military information constituting a state secret, in the absence of signs of treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, special services seized secret documents.

Now the serviceman has been informed of suspicion of divulging military information constituting state secret.
