You're reading: SBU exposes Ukrainian companies supplying military goods to Russia

Counterintelligence officers of Ukraine’s Security Service, or ​the SBU, exposed a group of companies in Dnipro, a city about 470 kilometers east of Kyiv, that has been suppling military commodities to Russia, the SBU announced on July 7.

The enterprises won tenders from the Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Guard Service. According to preliminary information, Russia used Ukrainian military commodities to complete its military armored vehicles.

According to the SBU, the companies’ management knew that certain types of commodities needed to be reported in the export documents but that they were left out. 

During the searches the officers seized 1,200 commodities “showing signs of belonging to military goods”, documents on the export of goods abroad, including to the Russia, as well as equipment and computers. 

Ukrainian media outlet Ukrainska Pravda, citing its sources in law enforcement agencies, reports that the group of companies the SBU is referring to is about is a group of companies called ІСTА. They allegedly supplied high-power accumulators used in armored vehicles to Russia.

The investigation is ongoing.
