The Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region conducted scheduled training in preparation for the annual celebration of Rosh Hashanah by the Jews – the New Year holiday, according to the website of the special service.

According to the training legend, the “terrorists” mined a 9-story hotel located on the territory of the Rabbi Nachman Historical and Cultural Center in Uman and barricaded themselves in one of its rooms.

“The training took place in conditions as close as possible to the real ones. The SBU special forces carried out assault operations using mountaineering equipment and detained a ‘terrorist group.’

The participants had a task to work out an algorithm of the interaction of subjects of anti-terrorist activity for effective response to threats of terrorist and subversive character during mass actions, and, as noted in SBU, it was successfully reached.

Several thousand Hasidic pilgrims have reportedly arrived in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, which will take place from September 6 to 8 this year. They come to Ukraine in advance, because last year, due to intensified anti-epidemic measures, not everyone was able to get to the celebration.
