Mothers of Ukrainian political prisoners Oleh Sentsov and Oleksandr Kolchenko have appealed to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with a request for help concerning the liberation of their sons, Radio Liberty reported on June 3 evening.

“Mr. Poroshenko, mothers of your citizens, who are serving time in Russian prisons, appeal to you. We are asking you, help us! My son has already resorted to the extreme measure – a hunger strike. Although he said before that one shouldn’t do it. We hope that you will not leave our children in this prison,” Radio Liberty quoted Liudmyla Sentsova as saying.

“Dear Mr. President, I appeal to you. Do everything possible to liberate our sons, so that they will not be disappointed either in the president or in their state,” Larysa Kolchenko said.
